This website, created by John Rick of Stanford University, focuses on the archaeology of some preceramic societies of the high altitude grass-lands of the Peruvian Andes. This covers a period beginning possibly 12,000 years ago until about 1800 BCE. Slides, maps and charts in addition to photographs illustrate topics such as burials, excavations, art, tools and so forth.
