I simply could'nt help but to notice your historical perspective on things. Is it not true that sometimes scientist become so involved in science they lack to see things without evidence of proof. So if this were totally true about everyone and everything, there would be no religions. So if it were said that without proof and without the bible itself with its many rewritten forms would not exsist in this world today. Had it not been for its being passed down through time and rewritten by those individuals whom inturpreted it, it'd not exsist to this day. That being said, this is why there is no evidence of our germanic heritages elgious practices. The only things that did survive were through Oral traditions over many many generations. If they'd written down the context it'd perhaps have evolved into a much greater and believeable practice. However this was not the case and the up and coming new relgion for that era was not easy going on those whom practiced the dieing religion we call Paganism. So in conclusion I too sometimes want proof but we are not always rewarded with it and must try to at least recreate what we believe are the ways in which they followed. After all if you tend to think towards a general idea in something, do you not believe perhaps its instinct leading you towards that. For example, can you prove love exsist, its there but not something you can see or touch. It just is.
