Aslah is inpressed by the size and scope of Chares' project. Also, he is impressed with the size and scope of Chares' talent.

Aslah would prefer to linger longer and to ask Chares some more questions about his work, but it is obvious that, as Xenoclea explains, Chares is a bit under the weather. So, after complementing Chares on his work and saying "Farewell," he turns to Neima and Xenoclea, saying with a smile.

    "Ladies, is anyone hungry?"

    "Oh yes!" they say.

"Me too! Do either of you know of a good restaurant."

    "Oh, we do!"

"Lead and I follow!' he says winking at Neima.

As they head back towards the harbor. Aslah thinks that these two ladies are the most fascinating women he has ever met.

On the way they notice that a new shop has opened up in town,

"Oh let's go in!" Says Xenoclea. Look at all the beautiful things on display! Let us go in for just a minute to take a look."

Before they know it, Xenoclea has led Neima and Aslah into the Lady Reylari Emporium

Neima is hoping that Lady Reylari might have something in the way of a hair restorer while Xenoclea tries on the "Flora Dora" gown.

Like most men, Aslah does not feel comfortable in the role of a shopper. Like most men he is a "buyer," not a "shopper." Like most men, he decides that the best thing to do is to retreat outside and wait for the ladies' buying frenzy to abate.
