I am still reeling from the shock of Gaius's death.   Unfortunately, his eight year old son was in the same accident with him and also did not survive.   This news hurts beyond words, so mine will be brief.

I know that saying Gaius was my friend does not make me unique among the citizens of Ancient Worlds.   Many here called him, "friend."   He had a warm virtual smile and a capable manner that was very contagious, inspiring all who met him to greater confidence and participation in their AW groups.   This I have heard from many of his other friends.

He will be missed and remembered always.
