In the greek language, love was often described in three different ways (at least within the New Testament of the Bible). The three ways were: EROS (physical attraction), PHILOS (love between friends), and AGAPE (unconditional love). In theology, it goes into marriage and why two of the loves are not good for marriages to be built upon, while agape is the only way a marriage should be, because one: that is the love Christ displayed for us, and 2: emotions will come and go, but true love is far more than that.... "Many waters cannot quench love; neither can rivers drown it." (Song of Songs/Solomon chapter 8, verse 7)NLT. Text taken from New Living Translation of the bible.
