As for the maps of Rome, forget it. We're celebrating a foundation myth here & I'll be doing it on a quiet seven hills, gazing at an undrained swamp from out of a mud daubed hut, sipping on an earthenware mug of rough-red, thanking my lucky lars I'm not a fat decadant poofter like those over-civilized Babylonians & Egyptians, with their fancy alphabets, smelly myrrh, and curly slippers.
IMHO, Rome's decline began as soon as we drained the swamp.
(PS - All roads lead to Rome anyway. Just start running anywhere, you'll get here)
(PPS - If you don't, turn around & run the other way)
(PPPS - Will those guys REALLY be "running," or will it be their slaves lugging their sedans that do all the work?)
