Surely, although there were different cultures in Sweden in the Age of the Vikings, these Germanic cultures celebrated summer solstice about June 21, just as all the ancient European cultures did.
Today, the celebration of Midsummer Eve (Swed. Midsommarafton) is a great event in Sweden, and it is always celebrated in the weekend.
