    I didn't realize he wasn't an author. *S* But, I have looked at those sites, and neither of them actually state -beyond a reasonable doubt - that Tiamat is a dragon. The second link jojo provided is off the second site you also give as a source (if you click on his "combined references" of the sites, it's the one you have given). *I am feeling a bit dizzy here! LOL* When you click on: "Another Version of the Dragon-Myth", you go to the section I quoted - the one where there is a footnote:

    117:2 The form of the name here used is Tāmtu, i.e., the Sea."

    Just to refresh memories, the footnote is for the word "Tiamat" here:

    5. Who was the dragon [...]?

    6. Tiamat 2 was the dragon [...]!

    So, even though LW King does say that she is a dragon, he takes it back in the footnote.
