Cairetw all the enlisted Athenians and members of AWs!

I am honored to establish an altar for the Goddess Bendis for our festival’s needs! We will with respect and praise give offerings to the Goddess by the reverberation of Thracian hymns and bacchanalian music!

That is the initial post to that thread which will create the beginning of your offerings!

What you need to know for your offering:

    • Purification archestai, washed your hand khernips with lustral water. Offer barley and a prayer of invocation katarkhesthai. Final preliminary offering aparkhesthai, present of a small portion of the offering.
    • The sacrificial moment and ululation he thusia kai ologuge, the offering is bestow to the altar.
    • Distribution of the sacrifice, a small portion of the offering is set aside for the goddess and the rest is consuming from the participants.
    • Libation, offering of wine with water.
    • Conclusion and call for the feast.

Some notes for the construction of Hymns and Prayers:

A typical prayer contains four basic elements:

    • A call to the deity using multiple epithets
    • Mention of past assistance afforded by the deity
    • A specific request for help
    • A promise to be fulfilled should the prayer be answered

I want to believe that I help for your future sacrifices and hymns offerings to the Goddess.

    Yours,

    Nikolaos Cleomenes.
