The Chicago Tribune has run a story on the 90th anniversary of the founding of the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute (museum and research facility on Near and Middle Eastern archeology).
It centers on the early acquistion of artifacts, and is full of gossip-y detail about the period just after the First World War.
Visit the SPQR Companion for all things Roman (including spoiler links).
