    IO Saturnalia!

You are cordially invited to share in Rome's most famous and fun festival. This year our Scribes and other hard-working citizens have planned revelry and mayhem galore!

Join us for a Pre-Saturnalia party to get things started at our Partay Thread.
As we get wild and crazy, your Mistresses of Misrule, Fannia Cassius and Tremendousli Furius, will be doling out Rules and assigning Pranks for those silly brave enough to join us. And never fear - there will be plenty of wine, women, and song (and a few men to boot) to help you get into the Saturnalia spirit.

The fun and exciting festivities will start with Gaius Aurelius' Tailgate Party which is set tentatively for 8pm on Dec 17th. Saturnalia in Tusculum will last through all of Saturnalia, Dec 17th until the 19th. The Writing Contest will start Monday the 14th and last until Thursday the 24th. First prize will be a patronage sponsored by GaiusAurelius Valerius (Thank You!). You can find all the events using "The Road Map" which is also the main Saturnalia thread.

To wind the festivities down, the Taberna Bash will be held at the Sign of the Owl starting at 9pm AW time on Dec 19 and who knows when it will end? The mayhem will move there and continue till no one is standing, or the Demi's kick us out.

Remember that the Saturnalia was the one time of year when even the stodgiest Roman let loose and lived it up! So strip off your toga, throw caution to the wind and come eat, drink, and be merry in Rome!
