    If something can delight me it is a discovery like this. I bought the Penguin Classics edition of Menander a few years ago in part to look for the quote. That particular fragment, however, is not in my book.

    I think, Demetrios, that you must be right about the context of the quote. If plausibly Caesar hoped to "be saved", he also probably saw his path as "a sea of real troubles".
