My name is Legesse Allyn and I have just published a book everyone interested in ancient Egypt should read. "Amarigna & Tigrigna Qal Hieroglyphs for Beginners" (http://books.ancientgebts.org) introduces you to the languages of the two founders ancient Gebts (Gebts is the ancient name of Egypt).
Properly pronounced, "Cheru" (Heru/Horus) and "Shete" (Set/Seth) were the Amara and Akele-Gezai founders of ancient Gebts 5100 years ago. They were ancient merchants who sold food, manufactured goods/crafts, and services to the indigenous people who lived in the desert hills along the Nile river.
Aside from learning the languages of the founders 5100 years ago, the book will let you finally be able to speak the languages of the hieroglyphs by giving you an introduction to hieroglyphic Amarigna and Tigrigna words, the languages of the two founders. And by learning about the Amara and Akele-Gezai culture of the two founders, you'll be able to experience that culture they exported to ancient Gebts from today's regions of Ethiopia and Eritrea.
There is also a discussion of the book at the HallofMaat.com forum and here are the links to the two threads, which you should find very interesting...

I look forward to interacting with the Ancient Worlds members and hope we can all exchange ideas.
