Are you interested in real Roman history? Do you like to make ancient history come alive? Well, this fall you have the chance to participate in a celebration recognized by Roman scholars around the world and the focus of a major exhibition at the Colosseum. Or should I say, hint hint, the Flavian Amphitheater?
In just two months from today – on November 17th – we will mark the 2,000th anniversary of the birth of the Emperor Vespasian. This event was first announced several months ago, but there’s still time to join in planning the celebration. You’ll find more information at the Vespasian birthday thread. Volunteers are welcome to offer:
- Quizzes, games, or puzzles with a Flavian theme
- Help with graphics
- Contributions to the Vespasian biography thread
- Articles or properties related to Vespasian
If you would like to help create an event or activity for the birthday celebration, please post in the birthday thread or contact Titus Flavius Sabinus or Mauricius Fabius.
