I did like Great Expectations, but I never finished A Tale of Two Cities. I was interrupted in my reading and by the time I picked it up again I realized that I would have to start over. But I never did. I did enjoy Oliver Twist and The Old Curiosity Shop. But I never finished Bleak House and David Copperfield.

As for Dostoyevsky, I tried to read The Brothers Karamazov, but never finished it.

And for Hardy, Tess is the only book of his that I read. I do have Return of the Native; but I found it very difficult to read. Seems like a strange story.

Dare I bring up Mark Twain?
