The Yucatec Maya word for blood is K'ik', which is similar to the K'iche' (Quiche) word of blook Q'ik'. K'u is the Maya word for sacred and K'awil is the name of a god... it is the royal patron god but the name literally means "to see two ways" meaning to see into the future and into the past - clearly.
