Creating a New ‘Hood and/or District

To have a neighborhood or district created which hasn’t been before, one needs to contact that world’s Scribes. It takes a while to have this done, as most members have a life to live outside of Ancient Worlds, so patience is needed. Once the Scribes have a chance to corroborate and reach a decision, they will let you know if they would also like to see the neighborhood created. If they do, then a Demi will be contacted to build the ‘hood. If not, then they will give their reasons for not wanting another ‘hood. If you feel unfairly treated in this process, then a Demi can be contacted to mediate the situation.

Before presenting your idea to the Scribes, it is best to have all your ducks in a row. You should have at least a partial write-up for the ‘hood, a district or two in mind with partial write-ups and a general idea of where you’d like to see the ‘hood in the future. Another key component is to have interest in the ’hood or district you want created. This interest must be expressed by various, individual persons (not personae). If you have all of these things, the Scribes are more likely to grant you that ‘hood than if you don’t have a good idea of what you ultimately want.

One must never approach this subject unless one has a clear idea of what will be done in the requested neighborhood or district. Also, a member of the site should have some sort of write-up available for review before asking that a ‘hood or district be created. This way, the overworked Scribes aren’t scrambling to find someone to build the ‘hood that’s been requested.

    District Leaders

District Leaders or DL’s are appointed by the Scribes. They are individuals who own a property within the district and have shown some interest in further building that section of the neighborhood. This district leader takes on guardianship of their own district and should be contacted if you would like to see changes made, boards or threads created. If the DL is unresponsive, then one should go to the Scribes with their requests.

As Ancient Worlds is for everyone, we ask that the DL’s be non-serving Scribes when they are appointed. This way, it opens the experience for everyone.

    Admin’s responsibility

It is the responsibility of Scribes to upload coding into ‘hoods which members have written. They can then edit where needed and upload some pics. The main pictures can only be uploaded by Demis and they are the people to contact to perform this task. If a Scribe is unavailable, a Demi can upload content into a ‘hood for the ‘hood creators. We like Scribes to be contacted first, because it’s imperative they know what is going on in the world they are overseeing.
