...I have been trying to come up with enough to feel like some semblance of say maybe Zhou dynasty timeperiod Kaifeng. I did not come up with enough to feel like I had enough to draw out a map and think of Districts. I had an idea to use the city of Zhengxian/ZhengZhou (because its in AW region of Kaifeng) so it's great history can be included on AW in form of district. But a (delightful) member gave me good reasons to do Zhenxian differently and elsewhere. I think that an early layout would be more fun. Something from when the town rested on the river, before art of planned cities. Docks/markets/slums near riverside made irregular as it likely would have been during the early Zhou/late Shang dyn. Then a more planned palace/temple/richfolk district or "imperial" district was Sun's good idea. The town surely had some form of defenses, if considering all things. This would make garrisons and stables for troops necessary as well. Got ideas? Lets hear them folks!
