Who I am and where I come from is a mystery — even to me! — that will be revealed as the tale of Buile Fenian unfolds.
All I can say for now is that my character is a compilation of motifs from early Irish literature. My name, for instance, is a variation of Aisling, which is Irish for a dream or vision poem.
I first appear to Fenian in the Hall of the Red Poets, in the form of a white bird with red beak and talons carrying a silver apple branch (two Irish poetic motifs symbolic of an Otherworld herald), and invite him on an adventure loosely based on Buile Suibhne - The Frenzy of Suibhne.
