Books:
The Penguin Historical Atlas of Ancient Rome by Chris Scarre (Penguin Books, 1995)
The Later Roman Empire by A Cameron (Fontana, 1993)
The Roman Empire by C Wells (Fontana, 1992)
A History of Rome by M Cary and H H Scullard (Macmillan, 1979)
Mosaics of the Greek and Roman World by Katherine M D Dunbabin (Cambridge University Press, 2001)
I found the texts listed above recommended for further reading about Roman history. Has anyone else read this material and what was your opinion of the texts? Does anyone have recommendations they can share?
