    Poison Ivy and Poison Oak that is.

    They are very similar looking plants, and both should be watched out for.

    Poison Oak is on the ground, I have actually seen it near a foot high, so given the chance, they can grow tall. Posion Oak can be identified by its leaves, which look very similar to an oak tree's leaves. Below is a picture of one:

    Poison Ivy is on trees. Ever see a tree with a rough hairy vine that clinged to the tree? That may have been Posion Ivy. Poison Ivy is a darker green and tends to have a shine or such to the leaves. A picture is provided below of the plant:

    Besides the line "Leaves of three, leave me be" to also help you remember, Ivy climbs and Oak doesn't. The images are kindly provided by purdue.edu
