    Can anyone verify this.

    I have heard that Allemanni means “all men. However, I have also heard that it is composed from two other possible sources. One being Celtic for “all” and the other from the Latin root for “alius” meaning a man, place, or a stranger.

    Also, Alemanni was first given to Germans who raided Gaul during the time of Augustus.
