Pax Inter Pares
Peace Between Equals. Caesar has crossed the Rubicon, but Civil War did not erupt. Caesar and Pompey stand together against the Republicans. In this alternative Rome, who will come out ahead? Or will anyone? You decide.

    Greetings!

I'll take up Marcus Tullius Cicero, veteran Orator and a Republican at heart. I intend on portraying the old man as depressed about his secondary role on the political scene, ired on Caesar for "betraying" his expectations for a re-establishment of the previous status quo and his debatable autocratic rule while at the same time, dissapointed with Pompey Magnus for compromising with Caesar and abandoning the Republican cause. Not shameless himself, he cannot find it in his heart to get over his own shameful reconciliation with Caesar, even more after the promises turned out to be sour. So, Cicero spends less and less time with public, trying to avoid Caesarian detection for his true republican feelings, critisizes Caesar's legislations from a safe distance while "waiting for the City to come to its senses."

Starting on 47BCE Cicero is 59 years old, already divorced with Terentia(did the previous user remarried at all?). I'm not sure what should be the size of his fortune, especially after having to give back Terentia her dowry, but he's for sure well off. The house will be on the Palatine, close to Clivus Victoriae. That's all for now! Hope to see you(and denounce you...lol) in game!
