By stability I mean something that Plato thought is necessary for any of our beliefs to hold true. If the world is about change, like the one our senses "bring" to us, we cannot have knowledge about it. But about eternal, unchanged and unchangeble, permanent ideas we can. That's what I mean by stability - not personal stability, but the stability of the object of our knowledge in Plato :-)
