I was looking back at last year's Moon thread for Ga Lo Ni and remembered all the fun we had sharing star myths through the entire month of August. We could have the Second Annual Intertribal Star-Storytelling event and add more of them. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to get some star stories from other Worlds besides the Americas this time too.
The blackberry patch sounds like an adventure only for the most daring (and hungry) of berry pickers. Don't forget the resident bear will be on the prowl as well.
Last year it was also suggested that we open a discussion on the importance of Native American plants worldwide but I don't think we ever got around to that. We were too busy telling stories and hunting for ripe fruit recipes.
I propose that we open a berry patch thread and one for the plant discussion somewhere in Kituwah. We could use last year's star myths thread. What do you all think? Any other suggestions?
So as not to interfere with other festivals going on in the coming month, we could just open the threads and keep them open all month. People could post whenever and however they like.
I loved the design Sky Eyes made for the berry moon last year. Can we use it again for the header of the berry patch thread?
