As for the ongoing Coarelli dispute, let me simplify things by pointing out that I have been responding to a post by Tusca which said:
"Born in the fateful year 1936, Coarelli is one of the last Italian archeologists with a personal memory of the fascist period."
All I can do is reiterate that Coarelli was only 6 when Mussolini was deposed in Italy and 8 when he was executed.
If you think that a 6 or 8 year old nipper seriously absorbs the political milieu of the world of adults of their time, then fair enough! I personally think that that is nonsensical, but we can now agree to differ.
