The Egyptian port authority in Alexandria, had signed over the impounded ships in return for my mead supplies and not coming back with an army. They also simply didnt know what to do with them and were afraid to go near the ships for fear of being infected by lice or some other Northmen's disease.
I was not too happy about losing the mead though, months of brewing work down the drain, and nor would Herger be happy about that but at least he and his friend would get their drakkars back. And now, coming up the Nile, we prepared to dock at the watering hole, with our surprises in tow...
