Vincenzo was driving south in N. Harlem Ave in the Cicero, he was going to check the arrival of a shipment of beer to one of the North Side Band's werehouses from one of the Edward "Spike" O'Donnell's breweries, their ally O'Donnell had a talent for quality beer.

Spike O'Donnel was the leader of the South Side O'Donnel Band, not to be confused with the West Side O'Donnells, same name different band, and he was said to be the weakest link in the Siders Bands; The South Siders had a feud with the Torrio-Capone band in which was called the great "beer war"; Spike had been serving time in jail for bank robbery until he was released in 1923, then he started selling beer cheaper than Torrio's to steal the costumers from him, Torrio then lowered the price of his beer to a price that Spike couldn't match so The South Side O'Donnells started bulling the bar and saloon owners into buying the O'Donnell's beer for a higher price than Torrio's, that's when Spike tryed to take over the territory of the Ralph Sheldon and Saltis-McErlane bands without success.

The Beer War officially started on Sep 7, 1923 when the South Side O'Donnells attacked the Jacob Geis' saloon (Geis being a customer of Torrio refused to buy from Spike) Geis was brutally beaten along with his bartender Nicholas Gorysko, after another five such attacks Ralph Sheldon brought a corrupt deputy sheriff Daniel McFall to the Joe Klepka's Saloon to arrest the O'Donnels but after a shooting they could only arrest Jerry O'Connor who had partaking in the beating of Geis. Outside the Klepkas Saloon was Frank McErlane who managed to shoot Jerry O'Connor before the O'Donnells escaped.

On Sep 17 McErlane and McFall attacked again shooting to death the two Georges, Bucher and Meeghan, they were men from the South Siders. On Dec 1 McErlane and his men intercepted a beer shipment from Joliet to the O'Donnels werehouses and destryed it killing another two South Siders. So the O'Donnels had to back down, they had officially lost a war they had started in the first place.

So Vincenzo "Vinni" Venetti was driving to check the arrival of the beer from their allies the South Side O'Donnells when just fifty feet away from the werehouse a dozen police cars arrived to the place accompanied with armored cars and black cars that must belong to the feds, it was a raid, the sirens might had warn the men inside so they would escape on time into the next building thru an underground tunnel.

The big question was, how did the FBI had got the information of this werehouse? Heiss wouldn't be about this, so Vincenzo drove away into a gas station and picked up a public phone to call Heiss, the guy was unusually upset and yelling, four other werehouses had been raid, Heiss ordered Vincenzo to start calling "The Boys" for an emergency meeting.
