1. A break may be good to refresh ourselves and get back into the spirit. I think we all know that Imperium becomes a little bit part of our day and routine. All those that retired say they feel it. That's why so many eventually come back. I doubt it will take to March to feel withdrawal. But what Justin says is right. The matter is we need new enthusiastic players. We won't get that interest if we are not playing ourselves.
2. I don't think I can make an unbiased opinion about resetting the clock and starting over again. Part of the charm in imperium is that the game has run for over 10 years and it is a game of ages. So I'll be honest, I've played many years with the intent of becoming first man in Rome and I personally hate to pitch it all in as I did a lot of work to get to my current position. It literally takes years to get to a place to even make a run at it. But as PMT and I had our falling out a few turns back, we are very powerful and I fear possibly so much so as to take the game a bit off balance. A restart where all are even may be good, so if that is the decision of the group I will abide with the greater think-tank.
3. Republic Reborn may be a good group. Honestly, I've not even looked at it. I played with the original Republic group a while before joining Imperium. Under the allure of Fabio, Gi and I both migrated over here. The old Republic was a two party system and those that ran the game were also the officiating group. There was no electing of umpires, so when the group leader had enough, the whole thing fell apart. So while there is excitement in something new... or reborn... Marco invented the recipe for consistency, longevity, and fairness. So in that vein, I don't think we need to revamp what we do, but remain true to what Imperium is.
