Imperium is one of the oldest role-playing groups at AW, and is seeking new, active writers to join in!

We are a group which deals with the middle Republic, just after the Second Punic War...as Rome strives to win territory and forge alliances with her neighboring states. The group has a large set of rules, which might scare you off at first glance--but I promise you--knowing them all isn't necessary! Our players and group admin are very friendly and will help you get started!

Basically, you are the head of your family, and are starting out on your career in Rome--either as a soldier, politician, or plebeian merchant--where you go after that is up to you and your imagination! The only thing we ask, is that you be willing to write--a post every few days would be nice, but really, so long as you are willing to play the game for more than a few turns is all we ask.

Imperium is a game where you can plan, plot and charm your way to the top--but like in real life, it doesn't happen overnight--it is a game which will take time to develop your character, and win your place in Rome's hierarchy.
