A clerk rushes into the office of Publius Claudius Nero with a look of horror on his face. He brandishes a tablet and is calling that there is a serious breach of the law in the current elections.

"Sir, sir! I have been going over the records, and found that two of the quaestorial candidates are not eligible!"

Nero looks up from his papers.

"Yes sir! Spurius Ogulnius Crispinus is already serving as quaestor in Illyricum...the entry for him must have been an error on the part of the clerks, but it still means he can't run again for that office!

"The other is Sextus Aelius Tappulus--he served as quaestor last year in Narbonensis! I don't know if that was intentional or not...but he isn't allowed to run either!"
