    Greetings all,

I am not sure if this is an improper use of these forums, but it is a topic of interest here, so maybe I'll luck out. If I am violating the rules of this forum, please accept my apologies and remove my post.

While I have found more information than I ever expected to, I am still looking for as much information as I can find on events in Constantinople from the period of 1175 - 1205 (in English).

I have read I would particularly like to read translations of direct accounts as opposed to referenced works, though I would gladly take references to them as well.

I know that there is a translation of an account written by Niketas Choniates called O City of Byzantium, Annals of Niketas Choniates, but the only way I can find read it would be to buy a copy from a rare book dealer for $700+.
