That I never fail unless there's a good reason. The reason for the kidnapping failure was due to the Universe going all wonky for a split second. Yeah, that was it. It's the Universe's fault that my "binding" spell turned out to be a "blinding" spell and it backfired onto myself. I was literally blinded by the light for a good minute. So, our prey got away.

And why in the name of all that is dark am I always the one blamed?

I think we might need to make some more sacrifices to the Universe so this doesn't happen again. Any ideas?
