If no one objects, I'm going to do batch speeches for the various npc offices...since there are so many npc candidates, it isn't practical to write separate speeches for all of them.
Also, if no one objects, I'm going to allow GCH to stand for aedile again...mainly because I don't want to do both sets of games in addition to the other Umpire functions.
There are a couple changes I am thinking of which may alleviate the problem of massive spending and incomes--since we have so few members right now, the coming year looks like a good time to implement them:
1. Reducing the income from estates/factories by at least half; this will involve adjusting starting scenarios so that beginners get more cash to spend...it shouldn't really bother existing players much;
2. Adding a further 'banding' limit on spending in CUL and REL...for religious, any amount over 10,000 earns .1%; for cultural, any amount of Public Works over 20,000 earns .1%.
If there are any suggestions to help these issues, speak up. There were ideas to increase provincial costs and treasuries, but that won't really affect the issue of private income, which is where the problem is as far as I can see.
I'm going to ask Mark to try putting these changes into the new statrep forms for next year...let you know on progress.
