    "Magistrate," Straton approaches me,
"Yes, what is it?" I look up from the plans of the new apartment complex under construction.
"Sir," Straton continues,” Lord Jihanus has docked at the harbor. He has a female companion traveling with him. A certain Luna from Sandyshore."
"Interesting," I mumble as I roll up the plan. What's he doing traveling with women from a place I haven't heard of before? I make my way down to the harbor using the service streets as the main roads are still congested by traffic and workers this time of day. I find them walking along to the market street but not able to make much headway in the throng. They were rather easy to spot as Jihanus seems to be carrying an oar over his shoulder. Interesting.
"Luna, this is an old...associate of mine, Myrdin," he introduces me after I hail them.
    "Magistrate of Zakros," I provide.
    "Ah. Your town is very...umm"
"Crowded?" Jihanus provides. She frowns at him and replies, "Vibrant,"
"Yes. The influx of refugees has grown the population of Zakros recently."
"Refugees?" she seems interested in this piece of gossip, "Where from?"
"The north mostly," I reply. Jihanus frowns but doesn’t say anything. "Going to the market?" I ask.
"Yes," Jihanus replies, "I spent all of my money this morning. I have to go sell one of my emeralds." Luna looks at him in surprise. Interesting.
"Ah, I can lend you some money." I reply and reach back and Straton hands me his purse which I toss to him, "Come let me buy you lunch and give you a tour of the city."
