It was a long adventure from the lower end of the Big Muddy across the water to MesoAmerica and then hiking inland from the coast all the way to Tula! The journey was even more of a challenge with my nervous coyote companion in the boat with me. KaWaNi had never been on the water before and she howled for most of the way. We both got a little seasick. When we landed, I traded the canoe for a new pair of hiking boots and several jugs of Bug-Off. Lucky I still have a lot of socks left. Does anybody else need a fresh pair?
Somehow we made it here to Tula. KaWaNi was very hungry so she's gone hunting. I'm content just to put my feet up for awhile, then we'll go exploring.
