    Sorry to hear about your teenage daughter. I have to hear about my teenage neice from my sister and I am not looking forward to my little one becoming a teen. My oldest boy, who is entering the teens, is bad enough with rides.

    To answer the question before I digress any more, the intricate designs in the knotwork could mean many different things. One theory is that they represent eternity, as they never cut through each other and continue on. Much like an intricate ring, moving in patterns.

    Another theory is that the twists and turns represented the cycle of their lives, and the eternal loop meant that life never ends, but is recycled over and over again, until something happens.

    My favorite theory, though, is Fenton Brigantes' theory that the carvings in the rocks that were the inspiration for the Celtic knots, were nothing more than a primitive roulette wheel, and Newgrange may have been an ancient casino.
