I have been talked to about violating the CoC in the Alba group I think it was. Though I was actually doing it legally and had permission from the association to put up the pictures. They never said or mentioned that I had to give credit to them, though I did, I think it may have been some UK group. The person was actually enthusiastic/proud that I was using it.
Though I know some people make a mistake posting and even giving credit to the creator, but the thing they don't do is ask if they can use the article off their site. Some don't want their information on other sites, I suppose for lost traffic or something. So it is always good to email the wbesite person and ask if you can use an article or such and host it on the site you wish to put it.
Its always good to let them know as much as possible....
- Where (Give them link)
- What (Specific item(s) you want to use)
- Why (Its polite/rewarding to tell them why you want to use it)
- When (Not a neccesity in my opinion, but ncie to tell them when you'll post it, as they may keep track if its an article and such and see what others say about it)
