The only book I could find her listed in was A. Leo Oppenheim's "Ancient Mesopotamia: A Portrait of a Dead Civilization." In it, he says that she is indeed the only woman who was named King. She was an innkeeper who founded the Third Dynasty of Kish. With those tantalizing bits, he goes on to other topics.

To me, it sounds quite different than what is portrayed in your website. Granted the Oppenheim book is ©1977, so new information may have come to light since then. But, the newer books: "Myths from Mesopotamia" by Stephanie Dalley and "Gods, Demons and Symbols of Ancient Mesopotamia" by Jeremy Black and Anthony Green, make no mention of Kug-baba/Kubaba the goddess.

I'll have to do more research and see if I can dig up more names for this intriguing "King" who founded the Third Dynasty of Kish.
