so good to have you back here! Missed your posts!

Many thanks. I had a lot to do, including preparing lectures on pharaonic institutions, building my Cleopatra web pages (on line soon) and developing a new website.

How did you get to meet Ciaran Hinds? I'm so curious!

Well... It's a funny story. Since I'm a bit lazy, I often need to shake myself and fix deadlines for all things I want to do, including trips. I wanted to visit Rome, and I choose the Ides of March, I planed to visit New York (I'd seen so many american movies that it was a kind of child's dream) and I choose feb 9th (his birthday) because I wanted to see him on stage (he was in McPherson's Seafarer).

It happened that my hotel was in the same block as the Booth Theatre (I attended the play twice) so that I met him several times. He is a very kind man, open, funny, modest, warm-hearted and very attractive (but that's another story as Kipling says). I'd never indulged before in playing the fan and I was very shy. I asked him to pose for a photo and we had a good laugh when I told him that I was more used with mummies and archeological artifacts !

Afterwards, I had the opportunity to spend some time with him and he told me about Rome, his fear of playing Julius Caesar in this very place (he thought that Caesar's Roman fans were waiting to catch him out whenever he did something wrong.) He had read a lot about Caesar and was very fond of the man. I had many questions to ask him but jetlag and shyness overcame me and he did most of the talking.
