Hi all,
I's been a long time since my last post but I was as always very busy
(teaching hieroglyphic Egyptian, developing a new website - far from ancient
history :-) - and other things including a trip to New York (unfortunately the play Conversations in Tusculum hadn't openned yet when I was there). I promised to sum up some interesting papers I
'd downloaded last year but I never found enough time to complete my task.
Eventually you can find them at
http://www.ciaranhinds.eu/pdf/ . They are all about the Ides of March and
Mark Antony.
As for the time machine... "How do you say Ides of March in French ?" was the
funny question Julius Caesar asked me in a small coffee bar on Broadway last
month. Of course it was not the real Julius Caesar but Ciarán Hinds with
whom I had a very nice talk about HBO's Rome, Julius Caesar and his fear of
playing this part with so many roman people around him ! He is
almost as fan of Caesar as I am !
