    I think (maybe someone more knowledgable will correct me if I'm wrong here) the proper spellings are either Ragnarok/Ragnarök or Ragnarøkkr, which have slightly different meanings (rök means "fate" and røkkr means "twilight"). I suppose the reason Ragnarok is more commonly seen is that ö and ø don't exist in English and so many people here wouldn't know where to find them on their keyboard LOL
