Known fer its ability to sprout from any part of itself the branch that falls to the riverside is sure to introduce river-willow to this land... an alien species. In my land we make everything from furniture to madicine from the willows. Shade in late Summer is the least of our pleasures from the willow. This tree heals! If one cuts spring growth -at the right time- it allows the tree to grow and allows one to make baskets, chairs, under-pinning for thatch, splints, so much more.
