My Son is making a Dirk in our forge class right now. He bought one at a ren fair and it was pretty fancy, however, it isn't very functional so he decided to make one of his own. He made me a sgian dubh for Christmas- it turned out nice. He had obtained some deer antler from a fellow in Scotland and used that to make the handle.
