I am truly honored to announce that Dr. Richard Hansen, the world-noted expert and activist in Maya culture and preservation, will be our guest at AncientWorlds beginning next Sunday, February 10 through Saturday, February 16. We have spent a month working with Dr. Hansen to find time in his packed schedule - I understand he's not only back and forth to Quatamala but is working on three books for publication! - is so tight that we are delighted he can be with us for a week (partly, he says, from "the jungles of Quatamala" but he doesn't foresee that interfering with being here with us as well).

In the thread header, you will see many links to Dr. Hansen's work and history, and everyone should also review The Mirador Basin, in which Dr. Hansen is also intimately involved.

Again, we've got a TREMENDOUS Symposion coming up, not only for The Americas but all of AW. Help us welcome Dr. Hansen!
