    How about the Cherusci? However that is 9th century. Which area of the Germanic lands are you going to base your reenactment on? There are a number of tribes mentioned in Oxford University Press' Clarendon Ancient History Series "Tacitus Germania" Translation by J.B. Rives is my favorite translation.
