You
will find some very interesting tee shirts with a native American motif
at reasonable prices by clicking on the image of the tee shirt. This company
advertises gifts made by Native Americans, but does not specifically
say that any native american profits from the sale of these shirts. I
find a real problem here in that a lot of this stuff looks as if it comes
from China and I am hoping to benefit the Native American people by buying
their work. What I find by specific Native American craftspersons is
in the 3 to 5 figure range and that is not me. Can any member point me
to items actually made by Native Americans for sale at average prices?
I found a very nice basket for $29500.00 and a place where I can get
13 baskets for $100.00, but they are obviously made in a factory somewhere
and I suspect Asia.
You must be careful ordering what passes for Native American crafts.
In many cases it appears to be no more than another method of ripping
off Native American culture.
