We sit down at our table and we are immediately served the champagne that is sitting in a bucket next to the table chilling. I move as close as possible to Heimdall.

"Perrier Jouet. You sure know how to spoil a goddess," I say to him as I raise my glass.

Heimdall gently klinks his glass with mine and smiles.

"So, do you actually think Odin and Loki will exchange the necklace, right here in public, with us looking on?" Heimdall muses aloud.

I glance over at Odin whose face is as red as the planet Mars. It seems my appearance with Heimdall is having the desired effect. Good. It is also about time that I have finally been able to give him a full dose of his own medicine. I know he has cheated on me in the past. Heck, we both have strayed. It is in our blood, our nature as the divine beings we are. However, his latest deception is one that I could not let pass without letting him know the full extent of my displeasure. I must admit that I am completely enjoying his discomfort.

"Heimdall, whether or not they decide to make the exchange here, tonight, there is something I desire more."

"And what would that be?" he asks.

Pressing my thigh against his, I lean closer to him and whisper in his ear, "You."

I feel his hand drift up my thigh taking some of the flimsy fabric of my dress with it. He turns to face me and his lips brush my own.

"You keep this up and I will have to drag you out of the restaurant before the first course," he replies, his voice suddenly sounding deep and rough with desire.

I bite my lip as I am tempted to let him do just that, but I pull back some.

"Oh, no. As eager as I am to make love to you, I am also eager to see Odin suffer as much as possible. He deserves nothing less for stealing my necklace and bringing Loki back to Valhalla. I hope you understand."

If I were not a lady, I would have spit after speaking Loki's name.

"I do understand. Lady, I have never known fire and ice to occupy the same place at once, but in you, I now know it can happen."

I take this as a compliment and take another sip of champagne.
