    Italian dialects and the Lombard language?

    About the Lombard language's effect, have you considered the possible remnants of it in the dialects of northern Italy? As you know, even though Italian is the official language, there are many dialects spoken in Italy, and, for example, Lombardo and its variants could bear some remote resemblance to it.
