Before I announce the winners of the Golden Fables contest, let me apologize to everyone for the lateness of the results. Two of our three judges found themselves incapacitated in real life. But the judging is now final.
This wasn’t easy. All of the entries were very well done. We have a wealth of talent here at AncientWorlds. All of those who entered a fable (scribes excepted, of course) will receive a plaque depicting a golden pen and 500 sesterces.
Third prize of a golden cup and 2,500 sesterces goes to DIonysia Xanthippos for The Man of Gold.
Second prize of a golden cup and 5,000 sesterces goes to Eunice Orestes for her fable of Eustace and the Ring.
First prize of a golden cup and 10,000 sesterces goes to Peritas Alexandros for his very Aesopian tale of The Magpies and the Coyote.
Hearty congratulations to all of our participants for their fine stories.
